Mrs. Lisa Shipman
"Teacher of the Year"
I attended the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA where I earned my undergraduate degree in English. I stayed on at the University of Mary Washington for graduate school, earning a Masters of Science in Elementary Education with a focus in incorporating the arts across the curriculum. I taught third grade in Stafford County, VA for six years until my husband and I moved back to the Valley where we both grew up. I taught third grade at Wenonah for three years. I am currently in my fourth year at Wenonah as the Intervention Specialist. This is my tenth year of teaching and I love it with all my heart! I live in neighboring Staunton with my husband Andy and my darling son Charlie who will be two in May.
